Gas fees are payments made to validators for completing transactions, validating them into blocks, and safeguarding the blockchain.

Transactions on the network necessitate gas to be executed. Therefore, whenever you send tokens, engage with a contract, or undertake any action on the blockchain, you are obligated to cover the associated computational costs. This payment is quantified in gas, which is always denominated in ETH.

Regardless of whether your transaction is successful or not, you are responsible for covering the computational expenses. Even in the event of a transaction failure, validators are still required to authenticate and process your transaction, consuming computational resources. Thus, you must compensate for this computational usage, akin to paying for a successful transaction.
